Stamford American School Hong Kong Unveils Visionary Second Campus.

July/August 2025 Issue

This fall, Stamford American School Hong Kong will open a second campus in West Kowloon’s Olympic area, subject to the successful registration of the proposed campus.* The three-story, 75,000 sq ft harbor-front pre-university campus will cater exclusively to Grades 9-12, supporting Stamford’s High School program and International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP). Featuring cutting-edge facilities, the purpose-built space aims to nurture future-ready students with skills to thrive in the rapidly evolving world.

A New Era of Innovation and Growth

The West Kowloon Campus will offer high school education through flexible, technology-rich learning spaces that prioritize autonomy, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving – the key elements in a pre-university education.

“This campus is a milestone for Stamford,” says Head of School Andrew Noakes. It will mark the school’s 9th anniversary in the city next year.

Says Head of School Andrew Noakes: “This campus is a milestone for Stamford,” marking the school’s 9th anniversary in the city in 2025-26. “We are determined to unveil a premium, bespoke pre-university campus to mark the occasion, and we have conducted a large-scale user engagement exercise with our faculty, staff, and students to capture their needs and aspirations for this second campus. These insights will further inform our decision in the space configuration, the fitting out of our campus, and the choice of furniture. I am excited that we can redefine high school education in the city through innovation in curriculum and campus design.”

Two Campuses, One Vision: Empowering Students for the Future

The expansion to West Kowloon will offer opportunities to reimagine and enhance the Ho Man Tin campus, allowing Stamford to strengthen further its Elementary and Middle School programs for long-term growth and success.

Stamford nurtures future-ready students with skills to thrive in the rapidly evolving world.

While the new campus elevates high school learning, Stamford’s Ho Man Tin campus remains a cornerstone for world-class K–8 education, laying the foundation for students to transition seamlessly into the IBDP. As a through-train school, both campuses are united by Stamford’s vision, core values, and guiding principles. This ensures a cohesive K-12 educational journey that nurtures global-minded leaders and equips students with skills for long-term growth and success.
